When my lifelong veterinarian retired, I had to find another for the care of my senior German Shepherd. NDAH took me in as a client, and the vets and staff took such great care of her. When it came time for her final visit to help her cross over, they made me feel like my dog and I were the most important clients in the world. The saddest day was made so much easier with the empathy I felt from everyone involved. I truly hope that when I am ready to love another, their client list isn’t full. Our dog had a severe case of pyometra that progressed rapidly. No other vet in Sudbury would accept her because she’s a bully breed. They all said to put her down and that she wouldn’t survive. Notre-Dame took her in, explained the risks, and worked on her tirelessly for days and nights. They gave her a chance and saved her life. She’s now a healthy 8-year-old who thinks she’s 4! I’ll be forever thankful.
